Why Front Fenders &...

Then I learned about tadpole trikes, and that was it. YouTube is a miracle. I saw people having fun on tadpoles and knew that would be perfect for my needs: getting fit, getting outside, and running with Jake the Psycho Dog™ at his level.

Spinner Bikes & Me

The seat of the Spinner answered one question for me, and that was wondering why guys wore fancy bike shorts to a Spinner class. Ah. Protecting their naughty bits.

Protecting Your Junk

One guy in particular really got me thinking. He passed me, gave me a grimace that I took for a smile, and pedaled on. I noticed as he went by that his bicycle seat had a towel pinned to it, folded in layers on the top apparently as a cushion. "Hemorrhoids," I concluded. "Or his boys are hurtin'."

Faster Than a Running P...

I was passed by several joggers, but I did manage to go faster than a running pigeon. The little feathery b*****d had wings, however, and was able to take off, leaving me behind. It was too hot for snails and too urban for desert tortoises, so it was just me and my goal, alone and slowly pedaling.

Can I tell you how much I absolutely love recumbent triking? Although I'm currently using a basic trike model, the TerraTrike Rover (1st Gen), I'm having more fun than should be legal. I'm certainly having as much fun as someone who rides a mega-trike. For completely different reasons, I'm sure.
